The class meets in person on Tuesday, at 4:00 – 5:25 PM, on the following dates: June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28.
Taught in English, this five-week course introduces students of Italian to the Latin roots of the language they are learning today. Students will explore the living traces of Latin in modern Italian and receive practical tips for recognizing patterns and making Italian easier to learn: from transparent vocabulary and word families to the loss of cases, the rise of articles and the evolution of the verb system.
Designed for Italian learners who want to understand the “why” behind the language, this course helps strengthen grammatical awareness while seeing Italian in a richer historical perspective, making it perfect for curious beginners and advanced students alike!
