Join our class taught by Emanuele! This class is geared towards upper intermediate students (Participants should have already completed the full B1 level. The course requires a vocabulary corresponding to a B2 level.).
The class meets on Tuesday, at 5:30 – 6:55 PM, on the following dates: August 4, August 11, August 18, August 25.
Il corso inizia con una breve introduzione alla dizione italiana delle vocali e delle consonanti, per poi continuare con dei giochi di improvvisazione o energia teatrale. Ogni lezione inizierà con la discussione di un breve testo sia teatrale che cinematografico o letterario italiano. Si analizzerà la fonetica e la dizione delle parole, il ritmo e l’energia delle pause di ogni frase. Si concluderà con la lettura espressiva a due o per monologhi di brani tratti dalla letteratura italiana. Non e’ necessaria nessuna esperienza teatrale pregressa. Si consiglia di aver conseguito l’intero livello B1. Il corso prevede un vocabolario almeno di un livello B2.
The course will first provide an introduction to the pronunciation of Italian vowels and consonants, and then focus on improvisation exercises and theatrical energy games. Each lesson will begin with the discussion of a short Italian text drawn from theatre, cinema, or literature. Students will analyze the phonetics and pronunciation of the words, as well as the rhythm and expressive energy of the pauses within each sentence. The course will conclude with expressive readings, either in pairs or as monologues, of excerpts from Italian literature. No previous acting experience is required.
