Step 1- Select & Enter Students into the contest
Since it is our objective to give opportunities to as many students as possible, we kindly ask teachers to give preference to those who have never participated in an IACE study-vacation experience. Should a candidate be a past winner of one of our summer programs, this information needs to be plainly indicated. Also, we require teachers to write a letter of introduction about their candidates along with the Scholarship Application provided for your below.
Teachers must ensure that applicants must :
- be between the ages of 13 and 18
- have their parents’ written permission to participate
- have good comprehesion of the Italian language
- be able to provide costs for travel to and from Italy (plane tickets are at a discounted price)
- already possess a U.S.A passport (If we do not receive a valid and current passport by May 15th, it will result in immediate disqualification: NO EXCEPTIONS). Please note that, if the student does not have a U.S.A. passport, it is the responsability of the parents and teachers to determine the appropriate travel documents that are required for travel abroad (examples: green card, visas etc.).
Teachers will select two of his or her best students and submit the letter of introduction along with the Scholarship Application by April 30th 2010.
