IACE New Board Members

The Italian American Committee on Education is pleased to announce that Margaret Cuomo Maier and Berardo Paradiso have been elected as new Board members by the IACE General Assembly held on May 22nd. Filippo Cinotti has been elected new IACE legal advisor.

Mr. Berardo Paradiso, President of Italy-American Chamber of Commerce, is chair for a special project on the Italian Heritage and Culture Month, board member of Fondazione Verona per L’Arena and member of prestigious cultural organizations including the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, Italian–American Cancer Foundation and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Dr. Margaret Cuomo Maier, has been involved for many years in the promotion of the Italian Language and Culture. She is Chair of the Advisory Committee of Lago del Bosco, the Italian Language Village, newest member of Concordia language Village, played a fundamental role in the development and establishment of the College Board's Advanced Placement Program in Italian, has been honored by the National Organization of Italian American Women and the Asssociation of Italian American Educators. She serves as the General manager of the Yoga Zone of Old Brookville.

Mr. Filippo Cinotti, is partner in the New York office of Cinotti & Buck LLP, experienced in M&A, international financing, banking, corporate reorganizations, federal, state and international taxation, private equity funds, intellectual property and corporate formation. He has assisted multinational companies in structuring deals and negotiating agreements for the establishment of new businesses and joint ventures. He is member of the board of directors of prestigious Italian based companies in the United States and serves as a trustee of well known non-for-profit foundations and public charities.
