| Show of the month |
This month we recommend a Broadway show called: “The Light in the Piazza”
Lincoln Center has mounted a very romantic production
which recreates the Florentine ambience and brings theater goers back to1953. The direction is excellent.
There is a very interesting flow in all scenes and all characters' relationships
are well-developed and established.
The costumes and accessories are gorgeous! Adam Guettel's music has exquisite passages and the
voices are spectacular. Tenor Matthew Morrison (who plays Fabrizio) combines the dash of
Errol Flynn with the passion of Valentino, sparking up the Broadway scene with
some much-needed romantic sex appeal!
