K-8 Grants for an Italian Teacher’s Salary:
IACE, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in New York, provides incentive grants for Italian language instruction. Many IACE grants are giving each year to both public and private schools that need monetary funds to help their Italian program grow. The Salary Grant is given the highest funding priority and can reach up to the amount of $25,000 towards an Italian teacher’s salary for grades K-8.
Already Matriculated Italian Programs:
Schools that have an Italian program established according to the guidelines provided by the world languages curriculum framework of either New York, New Jersey or Connecticut ,and to schools that have a full-time certified Italian teacher* increase the chances of being accepted.
Please note that applications for Salary will be considered for K-8 Italian Programs only. See what kinds of grants are available or grades 9-12.
*If your school is having difficultly finding an Italian teacher, IACE may be able to help if your school becomes an IACE Institution Member, which will give you access to Italian Teacher resumes in IACE’s database. Find out more about other benefits of becoming an IACE Member.
