Celebrity Chef Cesare Casella with IACE students

These classes are held by the professional chefs of the International Culinary Center, who will present recipes to the students both with pasta secca and pasta fresca. Students will also learn Italian culinary vocabulary and what the Mediterranean way of living means: how to eat and choose healthy and fresh ingredients based on the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition Double Pyramid.  These cooking classes, aimed at 70 kids per session (high school only), are another way for them to learn that healthy food is not only good for you but delicious and easy to make too.

“The students enjoyed themselves so much so that, the entire week it was all they talked about in class and with their other teachers. It’s wonderful how the language and culture are integrated in a “hands on” experience.” – DMZ, Cresskill HS

“The students like the interaction and the fact they can be chosen for the hands on activity, love the smell  of the ingredients and the taste of the dishes prepared…it has been a great opportunity to experience the Italian culture authentically.” – MTE, Bellport HS

The cooking classes are a huge success and we are getting a great media coverage:
